Great Post!
I agree. I feel that the first paragraph – offer value – is the most important. If you submit junk content to article bases, social networks, and comment on other blogs linking back to junk content – then none of it matters.

Offering value to your readers/subscribers is key to staying alive!

Yes, of course they work. The good article directories are still valuable source of great articles and people do read them and also publish them on their blogs. This way you not only get more traffic but valuable backlinks. They are still valuable even though they are less important for Google. It is also important to get backlinks spread over various places and article marketing is still one of such marketing channels.

Do article directories still work? I mean after the google update (panda)? Article directories are considered to be content farms and they are less important for google…
